Cookie Policy
Last updated
This website sets no cookies.
That is the entire policy. Everything below explains what it means and why we can say it, because a page this short usually means someone has not checked.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, which covers storing information on your device or reading information already there. If a site does neither, there is nothing to ask permission for.
mypetsuite.eu does neither. No cookies, no localStorage, no sessionStorage,
no device fingerprinting, no pixels.
So rather than show you a banner asking for permission we do not need, we did the work not to need it.
What about analytics?
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views — how many people read the blog, whether anyone finds the mypet vet page.
It is cookieless by design. It does not set an identifier on your device, it does not read one, and it cannot follow you to any other website. What reaches us is aggregate counts, not individuals.
This is the specific reason we chose it over Google Analytics, which would have required both a cookie and a banner.
What about the fonts and the pictures?
Both are served from this website.
- Fonts are self-hosted, not loaded from Google Fonts. Loading a page does not send your IP address to a font provider.
- Photographs are downloaded, optimised and served by us, not hotlinked from a stock library.
Neither involves a cookie, and neither tells anyone else that you were here.
Embedded third-party content
There is none. No embedded video players, no social feeds, no comment widgets, no chat bubbles, no maps. These are the usual route by which a "cookie-free" site quietly acquires third-party cookies, and we have kept them off the site.
Where we link to Facebook or to the mypet care app, nothing loads until you click. Once you follow such a link you are on somebody else's site, under their policies, and this one no longer applies.
Strictly necessary cookies
We do not set any of these either. This site has no login, no cart and no session, so there is no state to keep.
Note that the mypet care app is a different matter: it is a logged-in application and needs cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to work at all. That is covered by the app's own privacy policy.
How you can check
You do not have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, look under Application or Storage, and load any page on this site. The cookie jar for mypetsuite.eu will be empty.
If this ever changes
If we add something that needs a cookie, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and — where the law requires consent — ask for it properly, before setting anything, with refusing as easy as accepting.
